POSITIVE TRAINING RESOURCES
There is a whole spectrum of types of training, with no particular style the end-all-be-all. Lately I find myself farther and farther down the "rabbit hole" of positive reinforcement and relationship based training. I don't know about you, but I work better for cookies ;-) Animals are the same- food is a powerful motivator for animals.
These types of training are nothing new to me, especially bridge training (aka clicker training) which I started with my dog and then my late OTTB who I rescued. However, my adventure with my colt, Ringo, has been my first horse where from the start he's been trained this way (minus the 3 years prior to me) and I haven't trained him with traditional pressure style/negative reinforcement training. I've had many people ask me how to get started, specifically with the clicker training, so I felt this would be a helpful resource to add here.
